 Carmen Silvestroni (1939-1997) era una prolifica scultrice e pittrice di Forli, creduta avere uno scambio parziale di influenze creative con la corrente Transavanguardia, tuttavia la larghezza e ampiezza, i vari stili e le tecniche nel corpo del suo lavoro sembra provengano da una sorgente all'interno dell'artista, questi sono profondi, significativi, autentici e soprattutto fieramente indipendenti.  Carmen Silvestroni (1939-1997) was a prolific sculptor and painter in Italy, thought to have a partial exchange of creative influences with the Transavantgarde art movement, however, the width and breadth, the varied styles and techniques in the body of her work seems to come from a wellspring from within the artist and is profound, meaningful, authentic, and above all, fiercely independent. Therefore, Carmen's work defies overall classification regarding any particular school or movement.This website is a testament of her life and contribution. 74 pages, 9 galleries with 296 works, a database of 2,264 works, news of events in memory of Carmen and information on her life. Carmen Silvestroni (1939-1997)Il 14 marzo 2017 abbiamo ricordato venti anni dal giorno in cui Carmen ci ha consegnato il suo lavoro completo. Il suo lavoro è stato il modo in cui ha vissuto la sua vita.
Nei venti anni da quando l'opera di Carmen è stata ultimata, non c'è stato un luogo permanente dove l'intero lavoro, che è la sua vita, possa essere collettivamente vista e condivisa.
Nel 2011 si è pensato che fosse ora che ciò accadesse. È stato creato questo spazio, CarmenSilvestroni.org, dove Carmen, può condividere se stessa con ognuno di noi.
Tutti noi, possiamo condividere in questo sito tutti i nostri ricordi, fotografie, e l'arte unica di Carmen Silvestroni.
Per piacere, utilizzate l'indirizzo arte@carmensilvestroni.org per comunicare e farci sapere con cosa contribuirete in questo sito.
Ringraziamenti vanno a coloro che hanno già iniziato a inviarci materiale e a consolidare questo impegno.

TransavanguardiaLa transavanguardia italiana è un movimento artistico italiano nato nei primissimi anni Ottanta.
La Transavanguardia teorizzava un ritorno alla manualità, alla gioia ed ai colori della pittura dopo alcuni anni di dominazione dell'arte concettuale.
Il movimento, teorizzato e sistematizzato dal critico Achille Bonito Oliva, è ascrivibile come un movimento del tutto italiano, scarsamente riconosciuto all'estero. Contestualizzata, a posteriori, come una delle correnti del postmodernismo, la transavanguardia, grazie alla natura anticipatoria dei movimenti che hanno caratterizzato l'attraversamento del Concettualismo, ha continuato ad essere protagonista in Italia di ulteriori ondate, sovrapponendosi alle altre tendenze post-moderne, anche definito come "nomadismo culturale".

Carmen Silvestroni (1939-1997)
On March 14, 2017, we celebrated twenty years from the day when Carmen delivered to us her completed work. Her work was the way in which she had lived her life.
In the twenty years since Carmen's legacy was completed, there has not been one permanent place where the entirety of the work that is her life, could be collectively shared and viewed.
In 2011 we thought it was time for that to happen. We have created this space, CarmenSilvestroni.org, where once again Carmen, can share herself with each one of us.
All of us can share in these galleries and these pages all our memories, photographs, and the unique art of Carmen Silvestroni.

Italian critic, Bonito Achille Oliva, coined the term transavantgarde for art-making that rejected the tenents of conceptual art and attempted to bring emotion—specifically the joy of creation—back into the process. By reviving figuration and symbolism, this group of artists aimed to restore myth, mystery, and magic to contemporary art by the bold decision to return to the roots of what makes mystical art so appealing.
It is neither a school nor a trend, but rather an orientation, theorised in 1979 by Oliva as an overcoming of the minimalist, process and conceptual art experiences, also defined as “cultural nomadism”.
